BEZIER

From the experience of designer Miguel Angel García Belmonte comes the Bell Collection, a series of handcrafted luminaires that seeks to establish a dialogue between the mathematics of Bezier curves, materiality, and the artisans’ craftsmanship. Bezier curves, developed in the 1960s by Pierre Bezier for technical design in industries such as aerospace and automotive, were successfully applied in computer-aided design (CAD) programs, impacting various fields of design and architecture. Inspired by the precision and fluidity of these curves, García Belmonte has created a design that fuses mathematics with craftsmanship, giving life to lamps that invite contemplation. Bezier curves have allowed the designer to explore smooth, natural forms that flow continuously, offering a sense of calm and formal coherence, synthesized with honesty and expressiveness by the hands of the artisans.
